he’s brilliant but we’re sort of not really together at the moment. as i’ve been away for so long it didn’t make enough sense to have so much pressure on the situation when i don’t even have a date of returning to london. spent christmas with him and his family which was lovely but it’s a funny one as i don’t quite know where we/i stand. we spent the most insane summer together and he really brings out the best parts of me and while i know i can access those myself on my own, it’s just extra difficult. anyway, he’s incredibly lovely and very much like me. and he’s a wonderful chef x

happy new year! hmm, i’ve been doing ok but to be honest i’m sitting in a strange place of disordered patterns and rules and my body dysmorphia has been quite bad. i’ve had a couple days in a row lately where i’ve barely been able to get myself to shower and do something which is kind of scary, my depression seems to come on hard and fast in the most random times. i think a lot of uncertainty in my next few months is also making me really anxious as i’ll be back in canada for my visa yet again and i’m completely dreading it, almost scarily so. feels like a trap i know i’m going to fall into and i know how much i hate edmonton so the fact that’s it’s looming and for an unknown amount of time is awful. just wanting so desperately to get back to my normal life and work and friends in london because it’s like i’m living in a vacuum while my actual life passes by? really missing a lot of people and the way my life was so it’s been quite difficult lately. i know when i feel like this i immediately reach to food control and any little variance completely freaks me out. i’m at a healthy weight but i place all my happiness on how perfectly i feel i’m doing which is absolutely neurotic and i’m really trying to focus on the positives in my life rather than how “perfect” i feel.

it’s an alexander calder mobile on my right forearm (front beneath elbow…crease?) and got it done in prenzlauerberg in berlin! pain wasn’t bad at all and it was sort of unplanned but had been wanting it for years. ended up at berghain a mere hours after and now it sort of takes on a whole new meaning and i adore it. wanting another soon!

money from family and then went to the english countryside with my sort of boyfriends family, got a really sweet little necklace and some new nike gym kit, bought myself le labo rose 31, acne trousers, and a new yasmine eslami bra. hope you had a lovely holiday! x

i am! i’m helping a friend with her new company and helping her look after some adorable (difficult) twins, living off the canal. still working my london job in the mornings. kind of killing visa time but taking the opportunity to really get to know paris! lots of art and shops and exploring, trying to get my french up to snuff etc
